This restaurant caught the attention of ABC news in New York.  It is a Chinese restaurant with cuisine reflecting the region of Quingdao, China.  The food is very different from the typical offering of Chinese food that many have come to know.

Located in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake is Passion Restaurant providing fine dining by Chef Garrett Barner.  Do not be deceived by the location in the strip-mall.  Fine Dining is happening here.  Many restaurants are guarded about table clothes, putting glass covers over them.  At Passion the table linens are completely exposed just fine dining would dictate.  

As for cuisine, it is a delight.  For starters, the she-crab soup is fabulous with its large lumps of truffle oil infused crab meat.  The presentation almost humorously clever yet elegant with its crab claws placed as a star attraction in the soup.

Located on Liberty Street in East New York Brooklyn, there is a place called the city line where Joe's Pizzeria has been for decades. Joe's is situated among the line of shops which stretches for blocks.   A child of the 70's, I can attest to  the same orange chairs from the 70's still in use.  The decor matches many pizza in New York, old with a feeling of repeat neighborhood customer. This place was my introduction to the Italian Pizzeria and NYC pizza.  Moreover, my first Jamaican beef patties were eaten here as well.  In New York it is common for the Jamaican beef patties to be sold in Pizza shops.

Sotto Sopra is a contemporary Italian restaurant that brings the soul of Italy to the heart of Baltimore.Located in Mount Vernon, the restaurant serves up fine Italian dinning including Ossobuco, Vitello Tonnato, Carpaccio di Manzo, and Costato di Vitello. Boasting a selection of over 100 wines, the restaurant will without a doubt, fulfill you every Italian lunch and dinner needs.

Citizen Report from Tatanisha of Randallstown, MD-  Jaleo is her pick which brings alive the flavors of Spain.  There are locations in DC, Bethesda, MD and Crystal City, VA.  Tatanisha visted the Bethesda location which is just outside DC.  She says, "...grilled quail, grilled lamb chops, flan melts in your mouth NOTE- menu is seasonal."
