Mardi Gras, "Fat Tuesday", is the last day of the Carnival season as it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Most visitors will plan to arrive no later than Saturday, February 18, 2012 in order to enjoy an extended weekend of festivities.
Annapolis’s Winter Restaurant Week kicks of February 20, 2012 and lasts through February 26, 2012.Presented by the Annapolis Business Association, the fourth annual event is the largest ever. The 2012 cold weather edition will feature 41 participating restaurants all serving two-course lunches for $15.95 and three-course dinners for $32.95. Select restaurants will be offering two-course breakfast menus for $12.95.
Brazilian Productions aka Carnaval Mardi Gras Productions, producers of San Diego Brazil Carnaval Mardi Gras, has been actively producing and promoting Brazilian Carnaval, Mardi Gras Events and Shows since 1988. We have produced and promoted shows with such Brazilian artists as OLODUM, Moraes Moreira, Renni Flores, from OBA OBA, Daniela Mercury, Ed Motta, Djambi, Marisa Monte, Ivan Lin, RACIONAIS MCs and Gilberto Gil. We also coordinate and organize the Carnaval Mardi Gras Parades for San Diego Street Scene, the largest food and music festival on the West Coast.

Romance does not have to stop with Valentine’s Day but Ventura County made the Valentine n’ Wine event a good place to start. Twelve Wineries participated in a three day event(February 10-12) offering tasting of wine and food all for ticket price of $45.00 person. However, this year there are eight wineries and two hotels involved in the event. On Saturday, February 11, 2012 starting at 5:15 PM, Over 100 units will participate in the Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year Parade. A San Francisco tradition since just after the Gold Rush, the parade continues to delight and entertain the many hundreds of thousands of people that come to watch it on the street.
