A cotillion is defined as a formal presentation of young ladies, referred to as debutantes, to society at a formal ball, after they have developed high moral and technical character, social etiquette skills, and acquired a sense of responsibility and achievement.
The Precious Pearls Cotillion Program is an excellent opportunity for young ladies in the surrounding areas to experience a wide array of cultural, academic and social activities, while at the same time obtaining scholarship funds to support their future educational endeavors.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the oldest African American Greek-letter sorority established in America, celebrating 103 years of service to all mankind. The organization continues to empower communities through exemplary service initiatives and progressive programs. The UEO graduate chapter in Baltimore County, chartered in 1994, is committed to serving the Baltimore County area through the execution of Alpha Kappa Alpha’s international program, Global Leadership through Timeless Service
