Wikipedia-The term "coleslaw" arose in the 20th century as an Anglicisation of the Dutch term "koolsla", a shortening of "koolsalade", which means "cabbage saladColeslaw is generally eaten as a side dish with foods such as barbecue, French fries, and fried chicken. It may also be used as a sandwich ingredient, placed on barbecue sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs along with chili and hot mustard.

My husband loves this recipe. The sunflower nuts make this special.

Anita's Coleslaw Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bag cole slaw mix
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower nuts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 cup mayonnaise; real
  • 1/2 tsp Salt; to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper; to taste

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Chill for at least 30
minutes to an hour. Mix well again before serving.

Yields 6 servings
