If you don't recognize his name then you certainly recognize the face of James Lesure.  Soon his face will grace the show of the ABC Network show, Mr. Sunshine starring Matthew Perry.  MCCN editor Crystal Johnson got a chance to interview Lesure about his new show and some of the things he is passionate about.

MCCN(Crystal Johnson):  Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to speak with us.  Let's start with talking about your new show, "What excites you about taking on the role?"

James Lesure: I am looking forward to working with Matthew Perry and Allison Janney.  I am looking forward to taking on this character of being an example or goodness and light in the world.

MCCN: Your character plays a former basketball player.  In real life you are involved in many sport charity related activities.   How did you become passionate about fitness?

James Lesure: When I was a high school senior, I noticed the weight gain on some students which had recently graduated from the school.  It was then that I realized that I wanted to be fit for my entire life.  Furthemore, I want us as a community in America to become healthy as a whole. I know life has its challenges but there is no need to add bad health to it.

MCCN: Tell us a little about the inspiration behind your Tee Shirt Line, What's Your Blend?

James Lesure: I was collaborating with someone on a project and I saw this shirt being sported which read, Bluish. I asked what it meant and I was told, "Black and Jewish."  Immediately, I thought this would be a great line to promote which celebrates mixed cultural identities. (For example-Italrish, Amexican).

MCCN: After all, we are the Multi Cultural Cooking Network so we have to ask, what is your favorite comfort food?

James Lesure: In keeping with the Multi Cultural I would say Marble Cake or a Hot Fudge Brownie with vanilla ice cream on top.

MCCN: Thanks for sharing with us.
