The Jamaican Dutchy
Now if you are a little closer to Grand Central station towards the Eastside, You may want visit the Jerk Pan at 48th and Park Avenue. I’ve been here as well but I must say that it is not as great as The Jamaican Dutchy and on a nice day, I’d suggest making a little bit of a walk to 7th for the Jamaican Dutchy.
The Jerk Pan
Last but not least, Yvonne’s Jamaican Food Truck at 71st and York avenue will leave your mouth watering and wanting more according to my Jamaican born husband. Conveniently located right off the FDR, if you are driving and want to take a quick break to enjoy great Jamaican flavors, this is the best spot for you. Yvonne’s is not only affordable but the Jerk chicken and Oxtail is to die for!
Yvonne’s Jamaican Grater Cake
But Hey guys, watch out for the imposters around the city that call themselves “Jamaican” or “Caribbean” food carts. I guess you’ll know when you taste it. Happy Eating!
