Simone Baptiste

From the award-winning television program, to her work with influential national figures, for over a decade Simone Baptiste has been a part of the fast paced world of media; acquiring such titles as producer, manager, and director.

A native of New York, Simone received a BA from Queens College City University of New York and an MBA in marketing at the Earl G. Graves School of Business at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. While concentrating on her degree, she began her career at public radio WEAA-FM 88.9. In her time with the Baltimore radio station Simone became head of the development and marketing department and co-chaired the station’s annual weeklong fundraiser. After five years with WEAA-FM she joined the team at WBAL Television, rated number one in the Baltimore market. At WBAL-TV Simone produced the weekly public affairs program 11 TV-Hill in which she was awarded the 2006 Media Choice Award in Television Public Affairs/Newsmagazine by the Association of Black Media Workers. In 2008 Simone became the Public Relations Manager for WMAR-TV.

Simone currently resides in Baltimore Maryland where she is on the advisory council of the Salvation Army's Boys and Girls Club.  She also volunteers with a non-profit organization for women in need.
