Beating the Heat and Staying Fit

Summer is a time for kids to relax and spend time with friends and family, but during this time kids tend to get less physical activity. Even though some kids are out having fun with friends, going to the beach, and soaking up the sun, some kids are confined to their homes.

Many kids aren't playing sports or doing any activities to stay fit. So what is the perfect solution to stay fit and beat the heat? Dancing is the perfect way to stay fit and stay inside.

Dance is inventive, graceful and fun. It's a creative way to help kids stay fit and strong, but it’s more than just a way to stay healthy, it’s a good way to build self-esteem and gain confidence. The YMCA or the Y is a great place to start looking for a hip-hop or jazz class. With dance, kids will have fun during summer, and will be able to get out the house more often. Dancing is classy, elegant and a beautiful expression of art.
