Some of the benefits of traveling are experiencing the wonder and beauty of another country, understanding the love and enjoyment the native people have for their country, and stepping out of your comfort zone by trying something you would usually shy away from, or never had the opportunity of experiencing.
Food is another main reason to travel. Food and sightseeing go hand in hand. Culinary creativity is not always the product of fancy ingredients or a state of the art kitchen. Cooking inspirations also come from people utilizing their resources and talents. The preparation of simple dishes is an immaculate and tasty art form that has been passed down for generations.
Take a trip to China and replace the 'Americanized' Chinese foods of fried rice, ChowMien, and Orange Chicken for authentic Chinese cuisine like Hot and Sour Seafood Soup and Jiaozi (dumplings). Travel along the different coasts of America. Have Philly Cheese Steaks and Clam Chowder on the East coast or Salmon Skewers and protein burgers on the West coast. Don't be afraid to discover the world around you. Great adventures, food and people are out there waiting for you to find them, all you have to do is get out there and explore.
