Easy Egg Nog Recipe

This recipe can be made in a matter of minutes. A European drink in its origins,  Egg Nog is a great winter season treat. For some it reminds them of Thanksgiving.  For others like me has a heavier association  with December Holiday parties and Christmas. Over the years people have gotten use to buying in a carton rather than making it from scratch.  -Crystal Johnson, MCCN Editor

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 8 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground

Directions

In a large bowl, beat the eggs using an electric beater (if available).
By turn, add milk & sugar.
Continue beating until mixture thickens slightly.
Add in the vanilla essence & ground nutmeg.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled (at least 3 hours).

Serves: 8.
