It is that time of year again...Thanksgiving is here. Tickets for various destinations called home are being booked, grocery store freezers are being stocked with turkeys and recipes for stuffing and pumpkin pies are being pulled from their secret hiding places. While just the thought of Thanksgiving makes our mouths water and has us reaching for our “eating” pants, over 170,000 American families do not have a table to sit at this holiday.
With the economy still in a downward spiral, Thanksgiving

has a different meaning for many families this year. Soup kitchens and food banks around the country are seeking volunteers this holiday, why not be that volunteer, It’s as simple as going on-line. With one-click you can find the nearest food bank in your area and their hours to volunteer to help a family in need.
Before you sit down to pass the turkey and watch the game help send a family to bed full.
