The opening scenes direct where the story is going with old broken down Barney smoking cigars and drinking hard liquor. Giamatti and Driver give great performances. The Canadian film was nominated for a Golden Globe. Giamatti won for his performance. Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Dustin Hoffman also star.
