Imagine a world where you had no access to the knowledge of God—much like the world John Lennon speaks about in his song "Imagine." Although John Lennon's song is written from an atheistic standpoint, believing "...the world will live as one," his vision is a lot different than of that portrayed in The Book of Eli.* Chaos is the order of the day. Eli, played elegantly by Denzel Washington, is a man on a mission, being in possession of the only Bible on earth, his instructions are to go west, and that he does. As He does, he reads the word everyday — much like Christians are called to do now. God tells us in John 1:4-5 that in the Word is life and the life is the light of men.
