TOPANGA, CA –One of the best outdoor excursions of summer is watching a Shakespeare play at the Theatricum Botanicum. It's the battle of the sexes this summer when Theatricum Botanicum pairs two of the Bard's most foolishly romantic plays. Kicking off Theatricum's six-play repertory season during the first weekend of June, artistic director Ellen Geer directs The Merry Wives of Windsor, opening on Saturday, June 4 at 8 pm. The next afternoon, Theatricum's one-of-a-kind, signature production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, helmed by Melora Marshall, opens on Sunday, June 5 at 3:30 pm. Both plays will continue throughout the summer in the Theatricum's 299-seat outdoor amphitheater, carved into the Topanga Canyon hillside.
