The Café areas were the main attraction for MCCN; there was a delicious array of foods, from popcicles made of 100% natural ingredients from the Popshop, to marinated fish tacos with onions and cilantro at Malo’s Cantina Suavecita. I sampled duck wrapped in a pancake type dough from the popular gourmet food truck called Flying Pig. Although I don’t normally indulge in anything duck—the sauce made the meal irresistible! The Tiara Café also showed off some of its signature dishes such as a grilled ahi tuna “fresh’wich.” Although there were several vendors that sold baked goods such as Plantine Bakery and the Burlesque Bakery, my absolute favorite was the individual cakes covered in scrumptious chocolate made by Cakes Suzette Bake Shop. The red velvet cake was just to die for-what a heavenly treat!
