Da is a Tony Award Winning play written by Hugh Leonard now playing at the Sierre Madre playhouse.   It is best described as a story about family and coming of age.   It opened March 12th to a fullhouse and runs through April 17th.  It is a thought provoking story with fine performances.

DA' focuses on the day of the burial of Charlie's adoptive father.  Quickly, it comes to light that his father is haunting him.  The pleasure is getting to go down memory lane with these fascinating characters in this highly relational story with themes of father and son, mentors, sacrifice and payback.  Furthermore, the audience is privy to Irish songs, customs, history and family.  The cast is superb.

What a fine way to celebrate Irish American month or simply spend a day of your weekend enjoying good theatre.
