Culver City, CA: MLK Celebration
Culver City's fabulous Martin Luther King Celebration this Saturday! Among the speakers, Freedom Riders Robert and Helen Singleton. (See LA Times article.) Keynote speaker: Dr. Mitchell Curry, friend of Dr. King and accomplished organizer. Two young student organizers will speak, including the current chair of UCLA's Afrikan Student Union. The film "Freedom Riders" is powerful, extraordinary! We'll have lots of music as well as very special programming for youth.
