Filipino Lechon

In the Philippines, lechón is often served with vinegar, lechon sauce (made out of chicken livers or liver pate combined with vinegar, garlic, and pepper),[5] plum sauce, or other sauces, or with other seasonings or accompaniments. When serving lechon, it is usually well decorated with vegetables in a big plate and an apple is placed on the pig's mouth.

Seafood- The Humboldt Current of Chile

The Humboldt Current causes a dizzying array of seafood and shellfish to amass off the coast. Popular dishes that take advantage of this bounty include caldillo de congrio, a stew made of conger eel and vegetables, as well as ostiones a la parmesana, scallops on the shell in melted butter and grilled Parmesan. Ceviches from the fresh catch of the day and seafood empanadas are often the tasty starters in many Chilean restaurants. Abalone, sea urchin, squid, swordfish and tuna regularly are on the menu, served in a wide range of presentations from raw to grilled.

Film and Foodie Review: The Takers

The Film: The Takers probably will have most women at Hello with its gorgeous multi cultural cast including Idris Elba, Hayden Christensen, T.I., Paul Walker, MichaelEaly_and_Saldana_small Ealy and Chris Brown.  I wouldn't have wasted one dollar just getting a gander at this cast but all gawking aside, Matt Dillion, Zoe Saldana, the Oscar nominated Marianne Jean Baptiste and Jay Hernandez round out a talented cast.  This movie goes all the way to the bank with entertainment.  With gritty cinematography, fast moving action and great chemistry between the actors.  The Takers 20 million heist took over 20 million at the box office to capture the number one spot on its opening weekend.

Chesapeake: The Passion Restaurant

Located in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake is Passion Restaurant providing fine dining by Chef Garrett Barner.  Do not be deceived by the location inShe_Crab_Soup_small the strip-mall.  Fine Dining is happening here.  Many restaurants are guarded about table clothes, putting glass covers over them.  At Passion the table linens are completely exposed just fine dining would dictate.  

As for cuisine, it is a delight.  For starters, the she-crab soup is fabulous with its large lumps of truffle oil infused crab meat.  The presentation almost humorously clever yet elegant with its crab claws placed as a star attraction in the soup.
