2010 honorees included director F. Gary Gray, actor Nate Parker, actress Tatyana Ali, founder of the influential African Academy of Motion Pictures Peace Anyiam-Fiberesima, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, and Glynn Turman who recieved the Lifetime Achievement Award. Highlights included an exciting look at the 135 quality films featured in the festival and the reveal of each honoree's DNA test results tying them to Mother Africa.  Presenters included actors Louis Gossett, Jr., Isaiah Washington, Omar Benson Miller, and Karyn Parsons.  Other presenters include Rosie Motene, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Mwezi Ngangura, Ja'net Dubois, and Felicia Mabuza Suttle host of The Africa Channel's flagship series Conversations with Felicia.  Featured performances include Kossa Kossa Africa, Andy Allo, West Angeles Cathedral Singers, Comedian Seyi Brown, and the Black Nature of the Refugee All Stars. The event was hosted by acclaimed actress CCH Pounder.

The 2008 PAFF Night of Tribute broadcast won the prestigious 2009 Vision Award from the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) which honors achievements in television programming diversity.
