As much as one might consider their cause to be a "Mission Impossible," the only way to discover the possibilities is to accept the challenge. If there is an extra mile to walk, Todd Bellin is going make sure no corners are cut. But that's a good thing, right? That means participants follow a solid eating regimen, do the necessary cardio work and have a lifestyle coach to help them night and day. BS&F camps are located in Washington DC., Maryland and also in New York City. Belin explains the camp's method saying that he wants to "make the Biggest Loser experience localized."
As a former fitness manager for New York Sports Club and now with Belin Sports & Fitness, Todd Belin understands the process one has to undergo to lose weight, saying, "Losing weight isn't only about the weight...it's also about losing inches." There are two ways to accomplish these goals. The first way is burning caloric fat—essentially burning off more calories than you take in. Belin describes the second way, recognizing that even when the right foods are eaten and an exercise program is implemented, there are stubborn spots around the belly that can be problematic to one's weight-loss efforts. He calls these stubborn areas "toxic fat." Ergo, the second way the 11-day challenge helps to bring about dramatic weight loss results is by focusing on reducing the amount of toxic fat in the body.
According to Bellin, when toxic fat accumulates around the belly, that is the most dangerous area because it is easier for toxins to get into the blood streams, "It's able to wreak havoc on the various organs and systems that we have," he adds,"It actually allows body fat to formulate around the toxins to stop it from coming in." By focusing on removing the toxic fat, the 11-Day Fitness Challenge has brought about what Belin calls "unhistorical results." Not only are toxins being removed, but necessary nutrients are are being funneled in to replenish the body. The fitness instructor believes it is necessary for both sides of the weight loss equation to be implemented for ultimate results to be achieved.
Another part of the challenge of losing weight, has to do with the mental aspect. So instead of focusing on change, which Bellin says is "just a matter of movement around us." He focuses on transformation, which he classifies as "moving inside of us."
