Baskin Robbins has never been one to impress me with their 31 Flavors but in all fairness I had to consider if tried the alternating 31 flavors? The answer in no. I usually get my old standby of either Pistachio or Cookies and Cream which are actually a lackluster experience. Yet folks have desire to go to an ice cream, I politely consume one of those two flavors. Finally I took the time to taste test some flavors for the next CREAMED competition when I stack Baskin Robbins against other ice cream shops and compare flavors. The big promo these days is the golden oreo finally getting a shot in the ice cream wars. Afterall, big brother the darker classic oreo has been getting love for years. Well, it looks like the blonde cookie is about to have more fun because the ice cream is scrumptious. It is rich with cookie flavor.
The good times continued to roll on my tongue. The seaonal favorite, Aloha is back. Again, I will admit I had never tried it. I usually never go for chocolate ice cream, not my favorite. However, Aloha has me saying hello. It is like eating a brownie.
The peanut butter and chocolate, shall I compare to a summer's day. No. How about a chocolate turtle? Yes, caramel prominently sitting atop chocolate and peanut butter. Yum.
A new addition to the Baskin Robbins family of flavor is Neapolitan. This was requested by customer demand, one of the most basic ice cream combinations of all time of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla has never been on the menu until now.
