A lazy Saturday afternoon is a perfect time to grab a cup of coffee or tea at BaltimoreCoffee and Tea Company. During my visit I ordered a pumpkin latte—hey, tis the season—and a turkey and brie panini. Not to sound greedy; although in a moment it will be too late, it was one of those moments when you just want to make your chewing last forever. The sandwich combined roast turkey, brie and thin slices of granny smith apples on my choice of sunflower, rye or whole grain bread. I opted for the rye. I enjoyed every bite. However, the food is not the only thing that you can enjoy, thus the name—Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company.
Not only do they have coffees from around the world including Costa Rica, Brazil, Vietnam and many more, they also serve lattes, espressos and fine teas. If you're looking for a brand that you haven't tried before it is probably a good idea to stop into the little shop nestled in the Timoniun Business Park on Aylesbury Road.
If you are a coffee or tea buff, you will love the down-to-earth, unpretentious ambiance. As you enter, get a seat nearby the double doors to right, where they roast the beans in custom Samiac roasters and flavor it on the spot. The Timonium location is the main headquaters, but there are other locations in Annapolis and Frederick. The other locations are not roasting plants.
Tea is the other big draw for the company and they sell their own teas under the label of Baltimore Fine Teas and Eastern Shore Tea Co. You can buy loose tea or tea bags here. So make an afternoon of it, and grab a few friends, a good book or your computer—they do have WiFi.
