I had the opportunity to have dinner at Patrick's Restaurant & Pub this weekend. I was looking forward to it because I was celebrating an event with friends and family. So, of course with my reviewer's cap on and armed and ready with my camera, I checked out what Patrick's had to offer. The restaurant bills themselves as having a "Maryland Menu with European flair."

The restaurant, located in a little strip mall on Cranbrook Road in Cockeysville has a real "family" element to it. You can easily see how people would want to celebrate their precious moments in such a cozy and comfortable environment, but when it comes down to the brass tax, it's always about the food. So, I was going to order their Colossal crab cake meal, but then I decided to go with this curious dish called the Baltimore Alfredo.  It's a linguini dish cooked in parma cream with shrimp and lump crab meat. It was rich, creamy, and pretty good. However, I did salt it to my taste, which is something I don't normally have to do, but I think that Patrick's is mindful of their seasoning. Some restaurants cater to an older crowd that need to watch the amount of seasoning in their food. I don't knock them for that. I know too many people that would be served well by a restaurant like this. So rather than complain about a lack of seasoning, I just shook a little salt or pepper to my taste. This dish was served with a steamed vegetable medley.  ( Read the rest of this review on Examiner.com)
